The American Business Awards named Sarah Hefner, Director of Marketing and Communications at Fetch Freight, as the Communications Professional of the Year. More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.

Sarah has worked as a communications professional for 15 years managing multi-million-dollar accounts for Fortune 500 companies. As a wife and mom of 3 boys, she balances both work and home life, exceeding her responsibilities in all areas. Since the beginning of 2022, Sarah has built a strong social media presence for Fetch Freight. After designing the Fetch Freight website from the ground up, she completed a successful website overhaul.
Sarah has established phenomenal internal and external communications for Fetch Freight, including an internal newsletter affectionately known as The Fetch Tea, created a weekly industry-relevant internal team building news reel, successfully nominated Fetch individuals for the BBJ CEO of the Year award, Women in Supply Chain award, and Pros to Know 2024 Award. Sarah has launched a webinar series, partnering with industry leaders ACT Research and Isometric Technologies (ISO) to position Fetch as industry thought leaders. “Her initiatives such as the internship program, Shadow Day opportunities, and webinar series with industry leaders highlight her commitment to nurturing talent and establishing Fetch Freight as an industry thought leader” said another judge of the award.” Sarah has also engaged the Fetch team well, with anniversary and holiday celebrations, team, and culture building activities such as cocktail hours and games. She continues to support the Fetch sales team with innovative strategies to provide endless support using email marketing tactics. Another judge of the award commended Sarah’s diligence, stating, “One of the most remarkable aspects of Sarah’s achievements is her ability to accomplish so much on a limited budget, demonstrating resourcefulness and efficiency in her role.” Sarah Hefner is a Jane of All Trades, leading her peers, colleagues and family with confidence, creativity, and expertise.
