DOT Blitz Week: May 12-14

DOT Blitz Week, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) annual International Roadcheck, runs May 12–14, 2026. This 72-hour enforcement period brings inspectors to highways and weigh stations across North America, focusing on driver compliance, specifically ELD tampering, and vehicle safety.

For shippers, ensuring their carrier network is prepared means fewer disruptions and more predictable deliveries during this busy enforcement window, and working with a partner like Fetch Freight ensures that peace of mind.

For carriers, it’s important to review all documentation, including CDLs, medical certificates, and electronic logs, and ensure drivers are familiar with hours-of-service requirements. Vehicles should be carefully inspected, with particular attention to brakes, lights, tires, and cargo securement. Even small oversights can lead to delays, citations, or operational disruptions.

At Fetch Freight, we work closely with carriers and shippers to provide guidance and support so both sides of the network can approach DOT Blitz Week with confidence.
