From August 24-30, 2025, law enforcement agencies nationwide will participate in Brake Safety Week, an annual safety initiative led by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA). This campaign focuses on improving commercial vehicle brake safety through thorough inspections and outreach efforts.
“CVSA-certified inspectors will conduct routine commercial motor vehicle inspections throughout the week, focusing on brake systems and components,” states the CVSA announcement. “In addition, inspectors will focus on drums and rotors, the emphasis for this year’s brake-safety initiative. Brake drum and rotor issues may affect a vehicle’s brake efficiency.”
During this week, routes and timelines could be affected as carriers face increased brake inspections or choose to avoid regions with heightened enforcement, temporarily reducing truck availability and impacting delivery schedules across various markets. The Driver Services team at Fetch Freight will stay closely connected with carriers and shippers to help minimize disruptions and support any necessary adjustments.
Being proactive during Brake Safety Week helps ensure safer roads for everyone and keeps your freight moving as smoothly as possible. Reach out to your Fetch Freight representative for support in scheduling.
