Fetch Freight Continues Commitment to Sustainability Through Renewal of US EPA SmartWay Partnership

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that Fetch Freight is renewed as a SmartWay® partner for the second year in a row, part of an innovative collaboration between the EPA and the industry. The SmartWay Transport Partnership provides a framework to assess the environmental and energy efficiency of goods movement supply chains.

“We are grateful for the work of SmartWay and the opportunity to partner with them in our sustainability efforts,” said Mitchell Lewis, President and Founder of Fetch Freight, noting that its partners rely upon SmartWay tools and approaches to track and reduce emissions and fuel use from goods movement.

Fetch Freight will continue to contribute to the Partership’s savings of 457 million barrels of oil, $47.6 billion on fuel costs and 152 million metric tons of CO2, 2.7 million short tons of NOx and 112,000 short tons of PM. This is the equivalent of the annual electricity use in 23 million homes. By continuing with this SmartWay Transport Partnership, Fetch Freight demonstrates its strong environmental leadership and corporate responsibility.
